Dear Neo Users,
Following the migration of Neo to AWS platform, Amex GBT Neo released a new version of the Neo mobile app to finalize the adoption of the AWS service.
On 22 April 2026, a new version of the Neo Mobile App was made available in all app stores, and travelers have been prompted to upgrade to the new version – 25.8.0 (iOS) or 25.8.1 (Android).
For travelers to continue using the Neo mobile application, the upgrade will need to be accepted by 31 May 2026. Any travelers that do not accept the upgrade will no longer be able to use their app until the upgrade is completed.
How to upgrade
Apple iOS: A pop-up notification shows to travelers offering the upgrade. Users should accept the upgrade to continue using the app. If they do not accept the push notification, they can upgrade via their app store. The Neo mobile app actively supports minimum OS version: iOS 16 (and newer). If travelers are an older OS version, an OS upgrade would also be required.
Android: A pop-up notification shows to travelers offering the upgrade. Users should accept the upgrade to continue using the app. If they do not accept the push notification, they can upgrade via their app store. The Neo mobile app actively supports minimum operating system Android 10 (and newer). If travelers are an older OS version, an OS upgrade would also be required.
Private App store: For clients with a private app store from which the Neo mobile app must be downloaded by travelers (if your clients use a Mobile Device Management (MDM) for example), please forward this communication to your relevant IT team.
Your IT team will need to upgrade the current version to the v25.8.0 version for iOS and v25.8.1 for Android as soon as possible to allow travelers time to upgrade.
Your travelers will then need to be notified to update the version on the phone if necessary. If the v25.8.0(iOS)/ v25.8.1(Android) is missing on your private app store beyond that date, your travelers will not be able to upgrade and use the Neo app.

Amex GBT Neo have released a new version of the Neo Mobile App.
To be able to continue using the platform, please make sure that you accept the latest upgrade version, by May 31 at the latest. If you do not accept the upgrade, your Neo Mobile App will stop working from June 1, until the release is accepted.
For the release to work, your phone operating system must be on the below minimum OS versions:
- Apple iOS: Version 16 or newer
- Android OS: Version 10 or newer
If you are using an older OS version, please upgrade your OS to the latest version.
